More road closures in Champaign: How to navigate around it

Closures are underway and are expected to wrap up by the end of the week.

CHAMPAIGN, IL (Chambana Today) – More road closures could tie you up this week if you don’t plan accordingly.

To finish pavement patching, Illinois American Water and Shaw Brothers are planning to shut down the eastbound lane of Church St. from State St. to Randolph St. The closure is scheduled to start on Tuesday, June 11, and is expected to end on Friday, June 14, 2024, depending on the weather. One lane for eastbound traffic and one lane for westbound traffic will still be accessible in that section. Access to all nearby properties will be maintained throughout the construction period.

Also, Anthony Dr., between Dobbins and Campbell drives, will be temporarily closed by White Construction. If you’re traveling eastbound or westbound on Anthony Dr., please be aware that there will be a detour in place. The closure is scheduled to start on Tuesday, June 11, and is expected to end on Thursday, June 13, 2024, as long as the weather conditions allow. The City says that access to all local properties will be maintained during this time.
