CHAMPAIGN, IL (Chambana Today) – The National Association of Farm Broadcasting (NAFB) has announced Janet Adkison and Gale Cunningham as the 2025 inductees into its prestigious Hall of Fame. The two veteran agricultural communicators will be honored during the Night of Honors banquet on November 20, as part of the 82nd annual NAFB Convention in Kansas City.

Adkison, formerly an anchor with RFD-TV and now Director of Public Affairs and Advocacy for the Missouri Farm Bureau, served as NAFB president in 2014. Cunningham, farm director at WYXY Classic 99.1 FM in Champaign, held the presidency in 2021 and has been a respected voice in Midwest ag broadcasting for over 50 years.

Both are being recognized not only for their professional achievements but also for their commitment to mentoring youth and supporting the future of agricultural communications.

“Janet and Gale have been strong leaders within the NAFB,” said Hall of Fame Committee Chair Carah Hart. “We are delighted to honor them as this year’s inductees.”

The NAFB Hall of Fame has honored 81 distinguished members since its creation in 1986, celebrating individuals who have left a lasting impact on farm broadcasting and the agricultural industry.
