CHAMPAIGN, IL (Chambana Today) – C-U at Home has announced the launch of its annual event, One Winter Night, which supports those experiencing homelessness. This year’s event will take place at The Venue CU in Champaign on Friday, February 7 at 6:00 p.m. The event will kick off with the Outdoor Challenge, where participants brave the elements by sleeping outside for one night. This immersive experience raises awareness of the challenges faced by individuals without shelter while inviting the community to contribute toward C-U at Home.
On Saturday, February 9 at 4:30 p.m., participants can enjoy the Business Sponsors Auction Night. According to Melissa Courtwright, the executive director of C-U at Home, “We see the power of this event every year—how it moves hearts, inspires action, and strengthens our
community. One Winter Night symbolizes our commitment to raising funds to wrap around those striving for stability, and to creating pathways
toward a brighter future.”
C-U at Home invites individuals, businesses, and organizations to join in the effort by participating, sponsoring, or donating. Funds raised through One Winter Night go directly to programs like Pathways to Progress, which offers shelter, case management, and life skills training for those working toward stability.
