CHAMPAIGN, IL (CHAMBANA TODAY)– Senior Aiden Ouimet completed the first half of his decathlon at the 64th annual Mt. SAC Relays on Wednesday (April 17). He currently resides in 10th place overall with 4,044 points after sprinting two new personal bests on the track.

His highest finish of the day came in the 400-meter dash where he sprinted to a new personal-best time of 48.84 to take ninth place. His other personal best came in the 100-meter dash where he clocked in at 10.88 seconds to place 12th.

In today’s field events he took 11th place in the long jump (7.15m (23-5 1/2)), 11th placed in the high jump (1.89m (6-2 1/4)) and 13th place in the shot put (14.06m (46-1 1/2)).

He resumes the second and final half tomorrow (April 18) beginning at noon CT.

UP NEXT

The full track and field squad begins on day two of the Mt. SAC Relays with field events starting at 7 p.m. CT and track events at 8:55 p.m. CT.
