CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (Chambana Today) — The Parkland College Foundation Board of Directors has approved a new strategic plan for fiscal years 2026 through 2028, aimed at strengthening the Foundation’s governance, leadership, and philanthropic efforts in support of Parkland College.
The three-year strategic vision focuses on three key areas:

Commitment to students and access to education

Enhanced partnership with the college’s strategic priorities

Commitment to governance, transparency, and responsible stewardship
Parkland College President, Pamela Lau, shared, “The Parkland College Foundation is dedicated to supporting educational opportunities and innovative programs to empower the college’s mission of engaging the residents of District 505 in career advancement. In collaboration with alumni, corporations, foundations, and community members, the Foundation ensures success across the college.”
As part of the strategic plan, the Foundation will:

Strengthen collaborations with academic services and student success teams.

Build partnerships with Parkland Athletics to enhance student-athlete support and expand donor engagement.

Create a framework for evaluating fundraising initiatives to align with college impact and mission.
Ron Bensyl, Board Chair, commented, “Our new strategic plan is a promise to our community, shaped by the dedication of our Board of Directors, to grow the Foundation, support students, and invest in the programs that make Parkland a source of pride.”
The Foundation also plans to strengthen partnerships with civic, business, and community organizations to expand awareness of Parkland’s role in workforce development and cultural engagement.
