At arrival time this morning, Friday, April, 5th, Paxton High School was made aware of a possible threat to school safety that was submitted to the high school administration through our online reporting system. Upon receiving this information, the Paxton Police Department was immediately contacted, and the school coordinated with them to have a police presence during student arrival at the high school, and out of an abundance of caution set up procedures to ensure all high school students were searched when entering the building.
Paxon high school will continue to monitor and investigate the situation.
