PAXTON-BUCKLEY-LODA, IL (Chambana Today) – Paxton-Buckley-Loda District 210 Superintendent Travis Duley has announced his resignation, citing prolonged stress and the demands of the role. In an email sent Tuesday to district families and staff, Duley said the challenges of the superintendency had begun to take a personal toll.

Duley sent a note to the parents of the district. “The superintendency is a unique role that takes a certain amount of energy and also comes with a certain level of stress. Ultimately, that stress has begun to have an impact on me in a number of ways, and although I have tried to push through that impact, I have come to a point when I believe it is time for me to pursue other opportunities and for someone else to lead the district.”

Duley did not specify his next steps, but the school district is expected to provide further updates during the summer.

Earlier in the school year, the district dealt with controversy following multiple complaints of inappropriate touching against teacher and volunteer coach Robert Pacey. No criminal charges have been filed, but the situation has drawn public scrutiny and administrative attention.

The district has not yet named a successor.
