MONTICELLO, Ill. (Chambana Today) — Piatt County’s 4-H is hosting an event that will provide something fun to do on an off day from school. A hands-on workshop where creativity meets the kitchen awaits in Monticello.
Grow, Knead, Create will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. on October 13 at First Presbyterian Church at 214 South Charter Street in Monticello. Kids ages 8 to 18 are invited to roll up their sleeves and get their hands messy while learning how to make 4-H bread. While the bread rises, all participants will enjoy making fun crafts that they can take home.
There is a $5 fee per participant with a $20 maximum for families. A 4-H membership is not required to attend this workshop. Advance registration by Oct. 10 at go.illinois.edu/4Hbread is required.
University of Illinois Extension provides equal opportunities in programs and employment. If you need a reasonable accommodation to participate, please contact Anne at 217-762-2191. Early requests are strongly encouraged to allow sufficient time for meeting your access needs.
