Plan for closures on First Street for the rest of the week

The City asks that you please avoid parking on the street close to the construction zone or in spots designated “No Parking,” and be vigilant about traffic signals and detour signs.

CHAMPAIGN, IL (Chambana Today) – More road repairs are coming our way through the end of this week.

To carry out street fixes, A&A Concrete plans to shut down First St. from Gregory Dr. to Armory Ave. Construction will start on Wednesday, June 5, 2024, and is anticipated to go on for three days, assuming the weather cooperates.

The City asks that you please avoid parking on the street close to the construction zone or in spots designated “No Parking,” and be vigilant about traffic signals and detour signs. The City also says that it appreciates your understanding and patience as we navigate through the rest of the construction season.
