Public meeting about proposed Danville roundabout set Oct. 22

DANVILE, IL (Chambana Today) – Some streets in Danville may be replaced with roundabouts. The Illinois Department of Transportation will hold a public meeting on Tuesday, October 22, about proposed improvements to Perrysville Rd., Bowman Ave., and Texas Ave. The proposal would remove the Perrysville Rd. bridge over I-74 and replace the Bowman Ave. bridge over Texas Ave. with a roundabout. Public input is welcome at the meeting, which will be held from 4 – 6 p.m. at the Danville Community Church of God at 535 S. Bowman Ave. in Danville.

Preliminary reports, including an engineering analysis with drawings, maps and aerial photography, will be available during the meeting, and afterwards at the office of the regional engineer.
