CHAMPAIGN, IL (Chambana Today) – Illinois volleyball’s Raina Terry was named the Big Ten Player of the Week after a 4-0 week.

Terry led the Fighting Illini with 73 kills and a 4.29 kills-per-set average last week. In all four of the Illini victories, Terry also logged a block. Terry also collected 21 aces for a 1.24 aces-per-set average.

For the Cyclone Invitational, Terry averaged 4.77 kills per set, totaling 62 for the tournament and a .304 hitting percentage for the weekend. Terry was named the Cyclone Invitational tournament MVP this weekend.

The conference player of the week award is a first for Terry. She has earned AVCA All-Region and All-Big Ten First Team honors the last two seasons. She was also named Big Ten Freshman of the Week in 2020.
