CHAMPAIGN-URBANA, IL (Chambana Today) – The American Red Cross is highlighting the critical need for blood and platelets as the fall season kicks off. Donors of all blood types, especially those with type O blood, and people who have never donated platelets before, are in demand.
With the blood supply still at critical levels, every donation helps to make sure all patients relying on lifesaving transfusions get the care they need. Donors are urged to make an appointment by visiting RedCrossBlood.org, calling 1-800-RED CROSS or use the Red Cross Blood Donor App. Any donor before September 30 will receive a $15 e-gift card of their choice.
