CHAMPAIGN, IL (Chambana Today) – The Champaign County Residential Electronics Collection (CREC) event will take place on Saturday, May 16, from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Parkland College. Registration opens on April 1, and residents must sign up online in advance to attend.
To participate, Champaign County residents must visit https://ecycle.simplybook.me/ to reserve a 15-minute time slot for drop-off. Slots are available between 8 a.m. and 12 p.m. After reserving a time, participants will receive confirmation by email or text message, and about 10-14 days before the event, they’ll get a postcard in the mail that will act as their “ticket” into the event.
Important Details:
- Limitations: There’s a four (4) TV limit per household and a seven (7) item limit in total.
- Accepted Items: A full list of accepted and non-accepted items is available on the registration site.
- Event Location: The event will be held at Parkland College, with entrance via Duncan Road.
- Rain or Shine: The event will take place rain or shine, though severe weather may lead to longer wait times.
