CHAMPAIGN, IL (Chambana Today) – Chicago Bears wide receiver Rome Odunze brought energy and inspiration to St. Thomas More High School on Saturday, where he hosted a youth football camp in partnership with Flex Work Sports. The camp welcomed more than 400 young athletes eager to learn, play, and meet an NFL player in person.

Adding to the excitement was a surprise guest appearance by fellow Bears wide receiver DJ Moore, who showed up unannounced to support his teammate. Moore, who led the Bears in receiving yards during the 2024 season, said the gesture was simply returning the support Odunze once showed him.

Odunze’s camp featured football drills, 7-on-7 scrimmages (with Odunze even stepping in at quarterback), autograph sessions, and photo ops. It’s part of a series of camps Odunze is hosting during the 2025 offseason. His next stop is Rockford on Sunday, July 13.

As Odunze heads into his second NFL season—and the Bears’ first under a new head coach—he says team morale is high.
