RANTOUL, IL (Chambana Today) – With the school year just around the corner, Exceed Church and The HOYCE Center are teaming up to host S-Cool-A-Palooza, a free community event packed with fun and essential school resources for children ages 5 and up.

The event takes place Saturday, August 2, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Pleasant Acres School, 1625 Short Street in Rantoul.

Families can look forward to a day full of excitement, including a video game truck, bouncy house, games, food, and most importantly, free backpacks filled with school supplies—while supplies last.

“S-Cool-A-Palooza is all about giving kids a strong, confident start to the new school year,” said organizers from The HOYCE Center. “Thanks to the generous support of our sponsors, we’re able to provide not just supplies, but a fun, memorable day for families in our community.”

Sponsors include Gift of Hope, JP Morgan Chase Bank, Pleasant Acres, the Champaign Police Department, the BJack Foundation, and Senator Paul Faraci, who contributed funds to purchase supplies.

Organizers are also calling on community members who want to give back. Volunteers are welcome to assist with this or future HOYCE events. Interested individuals can sign up at hoycecenter.org/volunteer-at-hoyce.
