SAVOY, IL (Chambana Today) – On Wednesday, members of the Champaign County Sheriff’s Office’s Criminal Investigations Division executed a search warrant in the 100-block of Sterling Court in Savoy as part of an ongoing investigation into an aggravated battery to a child case.

During the search of the residence, detectives located two firearms and ammunition. As a result, Latroy Hodges, 28, was taken into custody and arrested for aggravated battery, unlawful possession of a weapon by a felon, and on an outstanding arrest warrant for driving while license suspended.

Hodges is being held at the Champaign County Jail pending his initial court appearance, scheduled for Friday.

This investigation remains ongoing.
