CHAMPAIGN, IL (CHAMBANA TODAY). – The Illinois men’s and No. 6 Illinois women’s track and field teams completed the Drake Relays on Saturday (April 27). Graduate student Amber Simpson won the champion division hammer throw with a toss of 66.29m (217-6).

Freshman Javaris Ambrose placed fourth in the collegiate division hammer throw competition with the school’s sixth-best throw, 61.08m (200-5). He improves his personal best by over a meter and springs over his teammate, senior Tyler Sudduth, who owned the number six spot with 60.90m (199-9) for two weeks.

Sophomore Olivia Campbell placed eighth in the women’s hammer throw collegiate division with a throw of 56.38m (185-0).
