CHAMPAIGN, IL (Chambana Today) – Almost 100 beds were delivered in Champaign last week, thanks to the organization “Sleep in Heavenly Peace,” a national non-profit that provides beds for kids across the county. Recently, the Mahomet chapter was busy building twin-sized beds for kids aged 3 to 17 years old. Chapter President Larry Uphoff says, “Seeing the excitement on the kids’ faces is a large part of what motivates me to continue being a part of Sleep in Heavenly Peace. Though something that’s even more important to me is the opportunity to belong to a community that cares enough for each other to give their time and resources to make our neck of the woods a better place to live.”
