CHAMPAIGN, IL (Chambana Today) – The Champaign-Urbana Jewish Federation is hosting a special screening of the documentary “SATURDAY October 7th” tonight at 5:00 p.m. in Room 23 of the UIUC Psychology Building (603 E. Daniel St., Champaign). The event includes a post-film Q&A with survivor Guido Kohan and Monique Beadle, Executive Producer of the film.

The hour-long documentary shares powerful first-person testimonies from seven survivors of the October 7 Hamas-led massacre in Israel. These deeply personal accounts aim to preserve the truth of the events, counter misinformation, and honor the voices of those who endured unspeakable horrors.

“This film is a testament to their courage and an essential reminder of the resilience of the human spirit,” said Ma’ayan Weinberg, Executive Director of the CU Jewish Federation. “More people need to see and understand what Hamas did to innocent people on October 7th.”

The event is co-sponsored by Illini Chabad, Illini Hillel, Sinai Temple, and the Program in Jewish Culture and Society at UIUC. All are welcome to attend this free community screening, which will also feature light refreshments and an opportunity for dialogue following the film.
