SAVOY, IL (Chambana Today) – A Metro SWAT team executed a search warrant Friday on Sunflower Street near Tickseed Avenue in connection with an ongoing firearm investigation, authorities confirmed.
The operation was part of a coordinated effort to investigate illegal firearm activity in the area. One individual was taken into custody as a result of the search. No injuries were reported during the operation. The Sheriff’s Office has not released the identity of the arrested individual, and the investigation remains ongoing.
The Champaign County Sheriff’s office is urging anyone with additional information related to the Savoy investigation to come forward.
