CHAMPAIGN-URBANA (Chambana Today) – On Saturday, December 14 from 2 -4 p.m., the Bike Project of Urbana-Champaign, in partnership with the Campus Bike Center and the Urbana-Champaign Independent Media Center (IMC), is holding a Kids’ Bike Giveaway for the community.
This event will be held in the south parking lot of the IMC building. Children aged 1–10 will have the opportunity to receive a bike, with sizes suitable for their age range. Bikes will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis, with a limit of one bike per child. Children must be present to pick out their bike.
The Bike Project is accepting donations of kids’ and teen bikes in any condition, which will be repaired and repurposed for the event. Bikes can be dropped off at the Urbana Bike Project or the Campus Bike Center. To arrange a donation, call (217) 469-5126 or email contact@thebikeproject.org
