CHAMPAIGN COUNTY (Chambana Today) – The Illinois State Police provides an online listing of sex offenders required to register in the State of Illinois. The database is updated daily and allows searching by name, date of birth, city, county, zip code, and compliance status on an easy-to-navigate website.

Residents can also search on the Sex Offender Registry Information website. To begin a search, click the “Map Your Neighborhood” link in the Quick Links on the right side of the home page, which will direct you to the map page. Enter an address in the search box or click on a location within the map. Click on a yellow marker to display the offender details in the right panel. Begin your search by using first and last name only. Narrow down the results by filling in as many fields as you know. If you know the county select it by using the drop-down list. If you know the city or zip code, enter that into the field which will focus the search.

When an offender is actively registering with a law enforcement agency, the agency will update the record upon successful registration. Copies of an offenders’ registration form should be directed to the law enforcement agency in which the offender is currently registering under.
