CHAMPAIGN, IL (CHAMBANA TODAY)- On May 17th at approximately 10:30 PM Urbana Police Officers were dispatched to the 2000 block of Vawter in southeast Urbana for a report of a shooting. Upon arrival, officers located an 18-year-old Urbana man who had been shot. The officers immediately began to render first aid to the man and summoned an ambulance. The man was transported to a local hospital for his wounds and is in stable condition. The incident remains under investigation.
