CHAMPAIGN, IL (CHAMBANA TODAY)- Happy April! We’re kicking off the month with a bunch of great local activities in the Champaign-Urbana area including a book sale, a vintage fest, and a poetry reading.
For one day only, purchase gently used books for less than thrift store prices and support an excellent cause at the same time. If a book ever changed your life, please spare some change to help others change theirs.
2. Champaign County Town & Country Amateur Art Show (All weekend):
Part of the fun of making art is displaying it. Budding artists and art enthusiasts are encouraged to enter their work in this local amateur show. There will be a videotaped critique by the juror that will be made available at the end of the show. The juror will discuss the art, point out good techniques, and offer helpful suggestions to those artists wishing to refine their talent. Town & Country shows are held throughout the state to encourage quality work by amateur artists. Blue ribbon winners from local shows are eligible to participate in the State Town and Country Amateur Art Show in the fall.
