SpongeBob the Musical: Friday, July 19 through Saturday, July 27, at the Monticello Theatre on Market St. in Monticello. The stakes have never been higher as SpongeBob and the entire Bikini Bottom community confront the imminent destruction of their underwater realm. Chaos unfolds, with lives at stake. The 171st Champaign County Fair: Friday, July 19 through Saturday, July 27, at the Champaign County Fairgrounds in Urbana.  The fair kicks off Friday at 9 a.m. with the 4-H Horse Show.  Check out the carnival starting at 5 p.m. with Dirt Track Racing at 6 p.m.  Saturday is Military day with a Demolition Derby at 5 p.m., and grab your boots for Sunday’s Western Day with a Horse Show at 10 a.m. and Unlimited Ride Bracelets available for $30 from 12-5 p.m.  Don’t miss the Draft Horse Pull at noon, and the Draft Horse Show at 4 p.m.

Curtis Orchard: Saturday, July 20 through Dec. 23 from 9 a.m.-6 p.m. Children’s activities, scrumptious treats, an abundance of kittens, pumpkins, apples, corn mazes, and more — the reasons to adore the orchard are endless. The combination of live animals, tasty food, and attractions suitable for children may just be the ideal blend for a quintessential fall family excursion.

Twelfth Night: Sunday, July 21 at 6:30 p.m. at Boneyard Creek Park in Urbana.
