Friday Night Live: Friday, June 21, in Downtown Champaign.  Enjoy the FREE streetside performances Activities for the whole family including bubbles, balloons, face painting, caricatures, hula-hooping, and glitter tattoos!  Check out Americana band Rory Book & the Volumes and R&B, rock and soul group The K-Tels at Market & Taylor; eclectic acoustic duo Kollyde and roots rockers Riders of the Golden Maize at Neil & Park; and power pop and rock band Vestiges followed by Prairie Sharks with their experimental boogie at Fremont & Main next to The Space.

Bacon Fest ’24: Friday and Saturday, June 21-22, at the Harvest Moon Drive-In on Sangamon Ave. in Gibson City.  Celebrate all things bacon and Jeepers – it’s a Jeep Jamboree, too!  Enjoy bacon-themed food and drink options, Jeep/convertible nights, Bottled Emotions, Tik Tok Spot, double features, and more.  Family fun for everyone.  Showing this weekend: Inside Out 2 and The Garfield Movie on Screen 1, and Jurassic Park and Tremors, starring Kevin… Bacon! on Screen 2.  Get your tickets here.

First Annual Food Truck Festival: Saturday, June 22, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Gibson City North Pavilion at 13th St. and N. Lott Blvd.  Admission is FREE.  Food for purchase for any taste from BBQ to Mexican and desserts, too!  Crafters, vendors, live music, and activities for the kids, as well.

Music in the Mezz – The After Party: Sunday, June 23, at The Mezzanine Bar and Farmhouse on S. Neil Street.  Check out one of Champaign’s best cover bands, The After Party, known for their “smooth country and rock covers” ranging from the Eagles to Garth Brooks.
