CHAMPAIGN, IL (Chambana Today) –  With just a few severe storms expected for Friday and Saturday, it’s shaping up to be a fantastic weekend to get out and enjoy several events going on in the area including the second leg of the 2024 Law Enforcement Torch Run.  

Bring an umbrella for that chance of a pop-up shower or storm during the Mahomet Soda Fest on Saturday.  By Sunday, we’re looking at a pleasant day and cool night.

SATURDAY: A chance of showers, with thunderstorms also possible after 1 p.m. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 77. South southwest wind 8 to 14 mph, with gusts as high as 22 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%.

SATURDAY NIGHT:  Mostly cloudy, with a low around 59. West wind 6 to 8 mph becoming north northwest after midnight. Winds could gust as high as 15 mph.

SUNDAY: Sunny, with a high near 77. Northwest wind 6 to 11 mph, with gusts as high as 18 mph.
