CHAMPAIGN, IL (Chambana Today) – The Coles County Fair continues in Charleston this week.  We get the largest chance of rain out of the way early in the week with rain chances ramping up again slightly on Thursday.  Some of the showers and storms could be severe.

TUESDAY: A 20% chance of showers and thunderstorms after 1pm. Patchy fog before 8am. Otherwise, mostly sunny, with a high near 90. West northwest wind 5 to 7 mph becoming southwest in the afternoon.

TUESDAY NIGHT: A 30% chance of showers and thunderstorms before 1am. Mostly clear, with a low around 74. South wind 3 to 6 mph.

WEDNESDAY: A chance of showers between 1pm and 4pm, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 4pm. Mostly sunny, with a high near 92. South southwest wind 6 to 9 mph, with gusts as high as 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%.

WEDNESDAY NIGHT: A chance of thunderstorms before 7pm, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 1am. Partly cloudy, with a low around 76. South southwest wind around 7 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%.

THURSDAY: A 40% chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly sunny, with a high near 91. Southwest wind 7 to 10 mph, with gusts as high as 17 mph.

THURSDAY NIGHT: A 50% chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly cloudy, with a low around 72.

FRIDAY: A 40% chance of showers and thunderstorms after 1pm. Mostly sunny, with a high near 85.
