CLINTON, IL (Chambana Today) – The 4-H Fairgrounds in DeWitt County is set to host an exciting weekend as it welcomes the Dewitt, Macon, and Piatt 4-H Horse Shows.

The 4-H Horse project is more than just about riding horses. Kids learn responsibility, leadership, and master riding techniques. The event is free and family-friendly, and will include English, Western, and Trail classes and fast-paced games such as barrel racing, keyhole, poles, and more.

The schedule is as follows:

July 5, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Members will compete in Halter, English, Western, and Trail classes, demonstrating control, style, and communication with their horses.

July 6, 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.

A day of high-energy fun and games will see members showcase costumes, speed, and agility.

These 4-H members have dedicated extra time during open ride nights, working with adult mentors to strengthen their class skills,” says 4-H Program Coordinator Kendra Wallace. “We’re excited to see their dedication and progress come to life in the arena.”
