Illinois community colleges have experienced a record enrollment growth in the spring semester, with total enrollment reaching over 285,000 students, marking an 8.9% increase compared to last year.

On Monday, March 17th, MIX 94.5 and Rewind 92.5 celebrated a unique St. Patrick’s Day celebration in Downtown Rantoul. The event featured The World’s Shortest St. Patrick’s Day Parade.
Drivers traveling westbound on I-74 just after 5 a.m. this morning found significant delays near Milepost 201 due to a 2-vehicle crash. Troop 7 units reported to the scene, and as a result, westbound traffic was being diverted at Milepost 206.
The Champaign-Urbana area is gearing up to host the Illinois Middle School Basketball Championships for the fourth consecutive year, from March 21–23.

The prom will be an evening of music dancing and food on April 5. The event will be held at the Turtle Run Banquet Center located at 332 East Liberty Lane, Danville, IL from 7:00 – 11:00 p.m. The prom includes a DJ, professional photographer, and a silent auction. Prom attire is encouraged but not required.
REO Speedwagon will reunite for a special retrospective concert in Champaign this summer, celebrating the band’s long legacy. The concert will be held on June 14 at 7:30 p.m. at the State Farm Center, and will feature former members Neal Doughty, Alan Gratzer, Bruce Hall, Terry Luttrell, Mike Murphy, and Steve Scorfina. The evening will also honor the memory of the band’s late members, Gary Richrath and Gregg Philbin.
