Urbana Mayor DeShawn Williams welcomed the announcement, calling the addition “more than just coffee” and a vibrant hangout spot for residents, students, and visitors.
The event also includes a shred truck for secure document disposal and a donation drive benefiting The Dwelling Place.
Local leaders, volunteers, and residents are expected to join in the celebration as shovels hit the ground and dreams begin to take shape.
But with only a few days left, local leaders are urging eligible businesses not to miss out.
To be eligible, businesses must be for-profit, in good standing, and operating legally in Illinois.
