Custom jewelry design, jewelry repair and appraisal services are also available. Owner Kari Johnson Smith discovered her passion for beautiful jewelry over 20 years ago. She has earned a Graduate Gemologist (G.G.) degree through the Gemological Institute of America (GIA). The requirements of a G.G. degree include diamond identification and grading, color gem identification and grading, and pearl grading. Kari is also a graduate of the University of Illinois with a degree in Economics. From 2021-2024 Kari served as a board-member for the International Jewelry Association, a group of jewelers and designers dedicated to helping each other learn and grow. Kari loves working with clients to find or create the perfect piece of jewelry for all of life’s special days
