The Illinois Extension Master Gardener program is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year. Since its launch in 1975, the program has grown into a vibrant network of over 2,000 dedicated volunteers who contribute their passion for horticulture across the state.

The State of Illinois recently announced the minimum wage increase from the initial $14 per hour to $15. The minimum wage for tipped workers will increase to $9 per hour and workers under 18 working fewer than 650 hours per year will be increased to $13 per hour.
