The Harvest Moon Twin Drive-In Theatre community is grieving the loss of Nora Harroun, beloved wife of co-owner Ben Harroun, who passed away on Thursday, July 3. Nora was 35. Visitation is being held this morning from 9 – 11 a.m. at the Knapp Funeral Home in Onarga.

The Champaign County Freedom Celebration will be host to a parade, evening activities, and fireworks tomorrow, July 4 near the State Farm Center. To accommodate for these activities, several streets in the area will be temporarily closed.

This year’s Champaign County Freedom Celebration will be more inclusive than ever, thanks to a new sensory-friendly activity sponsored by the City’s Equity and Engagement Department. As part of its ongoing mission to foster equity and inclusion in public spaces, the department has partnered with That Kid Place, a mobile sensory museum, to create a welcoming environment for individuals with sensory sensitivities, including those with autism and other disabilities.
