The distribution is part of the Foodbank’s Foodmobile Program, a system of mobile food pantries designed to help bring nutritious food to rural or underserved areas. The Public Works Department will be installing an all-way stop at the intersection of State Street and Columbia Street. This intersection has had five crashes in the past five years, with three of these occurring in 2023, which warrants an all-way stop at this location.

Urbana Police officers responded to a report of an armed subject on the 1000 block of South Smith Road on Saturday, March 15. Upon further investigation, officers discovered that a man had threatened another individual with a firearm. During the investigation, a loaded pistol was recovered. The 30-year-old Urbana man, a convicted felon who is prohibited from possessing a firearm, was arrested.
