Black Violin: Full Circle Tour coming to the Virginia Theatre

A girl who was injured in the fatal crash in Chatham earlier this week was released from the hospital on Thursday and received a warm, emotional welcome from her community. Mia, who had been hospitalized following the tragedy, arrived home to a crowd of supporters that included local law enforcement and emergency responders.

Meadowbrook Park hosting the PrairiePlay celebration

The celebration will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Workers took down the 28-year-old PrairiePlay on March 2024 to begin construction on the new, inclusive and accessible playground for the community. The playground opened in October of 2024. Urbana parks will be celebrating the first spring and summer of the new PrairiePlay.
