The Sangamon County Coroner has released the names of four individuals killed in a tragic crash at an after-school program in Chatham.
A 44-year-old woman from Chatham, Illinois, has been identified as the driver involved in a fatal crash at an after-school program on Monday afternoon. The incident occurred at the YNOT Outdoors Summer Camp in the 300-block of Breckenridge Road. The vehicle struck multiple individuals outside the building before crashing through the structure and exiting through the opposite wall.
The Illinois State Police (ISP) are continuing their investigation into a devastating crash that killed four children and injured six others at an after-school center in Chatham on Monday afternoon.
The Danville Police Department announced that Tatiana C. Neustadter of Plainfield was taken into custody on Monday in Joliet, nearly six years after the incident. Her arrest follows what police called a “diligent and continuous investigation” into the death of the young child, who was found severely injured on Camaro Drive on June 4, 2019.
The officers then transported Sanford-Beasley to the Vermilion County Public Safety Building, booked on charges of being Wanted on a Warrant, Unlawful Possession of a Weapon by a Convicted Felon, Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Weapon, and Obstructing/Resisting a Peace Officer.
