Compton found not to have the necessary license to possess and carry a firearm in Illinois and was charged for that violation. Officers then arrested Compton and took him to the Public Safety Building where he was booked for Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Weapon, Wanted on a Warrant, and Driving While License suspended.
Through more investigation with Vermilion County Sherff’s K9 unit, officers found illegal cannabis along with a firearm with an illegally loaded magazine. Anderson and Jeffries were transported to the Public safety Building where Anderson was booked on Driving While License Revoked and Unlawful Possession of a Weapon by a Convicted Felon.
Saenz-Suarez was charged with Reckless Homicide and leaving the scene of a fatal injury crash.
