A traffic accident in Urbana sent two drivers to the hospital, and one of whom was cited for driving under the influence.

According to the Champaign Police Department (CPD,) a 16-year-old student was arrested for bringing a handgun to Central High School this morning.

Urbana High School (UHS) officials arrested 24-year-old Malique Hyde at the school Thursday after allegedly observing him carrying a firearm.

His hair was styled in twists and was wearing a black Nike sweatshirt with and orange and blue Nike logo with gray distressed jeans.
