Experience Champaign-Urbana hosting African American Heritage Bus Tour

The tour takes place on Friday, June 13, to celebrate Juneteenth. The tour gives participants an opportunity to explore significant African American landmarks in the region, with stories, landmarks, and contributions in the community. The ECU is partnering with The Family Room, a non-profit organization serving families with foster children or children in transition to provide care packs, clean clothes, and other necessities.

University of Illinois Extension, in partnership with the Rantoul Public Library is offering a free workshop on Thursday, May 30, at 1:00 p.m. The workshop is led by University of Illinois Extension Nutrition and Wellness Educator Rachel Mannen. The library is  located at 106 W. Flessner Ave., Rantoul, IL. This workshop will introduce participants to making bread from scratch. This includes mixing, kneading, shaping and baking.
