The festival will feature a bugscope, more spiders, arthropods, and insect arts and crafts. The event will take place at the Foellinger Auditorium starting at 5:00 p.m. It is free and open to the public.
Tickets to the IHSA State Wrestling Tournament range from $10–12 per session or $50–60 for an all-session ticket. Various weight classes from 1A, 2A and 3A schools begin at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, 8:30 a.m. on Friday, and 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. They will also perform on Thursday, March 6 at 7:00 p.m. at Centennial High School with the Centennial High School Concert and Chamber Orchestras. The three groups will be combining to perform the “Russian Sailors’ Dance” from “The Red Poppy” by Reinhold Gliere. “The mission of the Champaign Firefighters Benevolent Fund is to honor the sacrifice of the family members of our fallen brothers and sisters; to support active and retired Local 1260 members and their families; to support other firefighters and their families in Illinois and beyond; and, to provide financial support to community members and/or groups locally,” according to the event listing.
The community is invited to join this musical event at 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the City Center. This festival will feature bands from Champaign and Urbana schools as well as groups from the local community. Featured bands include:
“Everyone who attends will receive free seeds and garden giveaways,” says Horticulture Program Coordinator Beth Miglin. “We also encourage gardeners to share seeds or cuttings with others.”
That’s What She Said (TWSS) will take the stage once again at Parkland College Theatre Saturday for matinee and evening shows.
The event featured an evening with people from all backgrounds celebrating rich and diverse traditions. It was a celebration of Asian cultures with over 18 unique performances from local children’s groups to internationally renowned performers and everything in between.
