
A lucky player in Illinois hit the jackpot in last night’s drawing, winning an astonishing $344 million. The winning ticket, purchased at Casey’s General Store on 70 S. Somonauk Road in Cortland, Illinois, matched all five numbers and the Mega Ball, 1-5-17-39-62-8, to score the coveted top prize.

Senate Bill 2427 would require all school boards to adopt policies, banning cell phones and other devices during instructional time. This includes cell phones, laptops, tablets and gaming devices which can provide communication between two or more parties. It would not, however, include school-issued devices.
