
Her love of all things French deepened thereafter and she traveled to France and earned a certificate of French Civilization at the Sorbonne in Paris.

In his retirement, Wes’ love for golf never faltered, and he spent many days playing on courses throughout Central Illinois. He spent his last days surrounded by family and friends who meant the world to him.

Alice took great joy and pride in her children and all of her family. It was also a point of pride that she served as the first female senior class president of Mattoon High School.
Joyce was born on September 5, 1962, a daughter of Harold and Donna York. She married Kevin Bielert on August 22, 1981 in Urbana. He died on February 17, 2024.

Emily grew up in Urbana where she met her future husband, Robert Clemons, in elementary school.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, siblings, daughter Theresa and a grandson, Eric Heffernan. She is survived by 3 children, 5 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Robert worked as a machinist, as well as in maintenance for many years. He attended St. Patrick Catholic Church and was a member of the National Speleological Society.

Larry attended Urbana High School and enlisted in the Army. He worked as a bus driver for unit 4 school district & First Student for many years. He also worked for Caradco/Jeldwin as a molder & supervisor.

Jim attended Robinson Schools and graduated from Millikin University, Decatur with a degree in Business Administration and Economics.

She grew up on a farm in Rochester, IL and graduated from Rochester High School in 1952. She went on to graduate from Springfield College in Illinois, majoring in accounting and business.
