
She joined committees and a reading group, practiced Tai Chi, attended Friday night movies, and organized the weekly 500 card games.

Later, he joined the Geological Survey of Alabama in Tuscaloosa before moving to the Illinois State Geological Survey in Urbana, Illinois, in 1970, where he served as a hydrogeologist and geophysicist until his retirement in 1995.
George was a true craftsman; he designed, built and flew a light aircraft, built furniture, and crafted beautiful saddles. His work was featured in aviation and leather crafting magazines.
He was an active member of the Champaign-Urbana Jaycees from 1961 to 1969 and held many offices including local President and National Director.

After enlisting in the Marines in June 1973, Mr. King achieved the rank of sergeant E-5. He was stationed for four years at the Marine Corps Air Station in Yuma, Ariz., prior to his honorable discharge in June 1977.

As a child born at the beginning of the Great Depression, Lois began work at an early age.

He was in the home improvement business his entire life; working early on with his father in the family business, Cramer Siding, and in later years with his son, Jeff, and Cramer Homes.

He worked as an engineer for APL Engineered Materials until his retirement. He enjoyed oil painting and enjoyed working outside landscaping.
