A new restaurant in the heart of Champaign is creating fresh, authentic burritos, desserts, and walking tacos. The Burrito Lab, located at 209 E. University, is quickly becoming a go-to spot for those craving delicious, hand-crafted Mexican fare made from scratch.
The Illinois women’s basketball team is inviting fans to join them for a watch party to celebrate the NCAA Tournament Selection Show on Sunday, March 16. The event, which is free and open to the public, will take place in the 77 Club at Memorial Stadium. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. and the Selection Show will air at 7 p.m. on ESPN.
In an effort to maintain student safety and awareness, the university has shared the information while refraining from providing specific details that could identify the survivor. Public Safety officials emphasized that these alerts aim to encourage vigilance, student safety, and the prevention of future incidents.
“Traveling to Ecuador was genuinely one of the best experiences I have had in my life. It was so much fun to build meaningful relationships with my classmates and members of the Ecuadorian communities we visited,” said Ansley Faivre, a participant of the program.

University of Illinois senior Jake Seraphin, a guest reporter for Chambana Today, found himself immersed in the electric atmosphere of the State Farm Center on Tuesday night as he covered the Illini men’s basketball team’s 81-61 victory over Iowa.
Due to Fighting Illini men’s basketball vs. Iowa tonight, parking is limited to gravel lots at Illinois Field. Concessions will also not be available for today’s game. Fans should refer to the gameday guide for parking maps and updated Illinois Field policies.
“From a financial standpoint, it helps ensure that our community receives its fair share of state and federal funding distributed on a per capita basis. It also is important that we have accurate demographic and housing data in order to plan for programs and services. Finally, we were able to count residents in several housing complexes that had been built since 2020. We are sincerely grateful to all the residents who responded to Census 2025. They live here and they count,” said Mayor Diane Wolfe Marlin.
Head of DPNS and Executive Director, Peterson will draw inspiration from the Arboretum’s 2021 Master plan, focusing on improving iconic physical spaces, creating connections between those spaces, growing partnerships, and increasing communication with the community and donors. While many Arboretum activities will continue, Peterson explains that the community must be patient as the division navigates a new facility.
The festival will feature a bugscope, more spiders, arthropods, and insect arts and crafts. The event will take place at the Foellinger Auditorium starting at 5:00 p.m. It is free and open to the public.
