
James White, a three-time Super Bowl champion and former Big Ten standout, has been named the Assistant Running Backs Coach for the Illinois football program, as announced by Head Coach Bret Bielema. White, who played for Bielema at Wisconsin, brings a wealth of experience to his new role after an eight-year NFL career with the New England Patriots.
The tournament will be hosted on March 13 to 15 and will feature the best teams across Illinois. Additionally, the IHSA Wheelchair Basketball Tournament will be held from March 14 to 15 at the Activities & Recreation Center at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. The Wolverines erased a three-point deficit heading into the final quarter with a dominant 30-18 performance, securing the victory in the Big Ten finale.

Illinois dominated in the second half to defeat No. 15 Michigan, 93-73, on Sunday at Crisler Center, extending their winning streak over the Wolverines to nine games. The Illini had four players score in double figures, marking their fourth victory over a ranked opponent this season.
