The Illinois State Police (ISP) is hosting its inaugural all-women recruitment event, “Meet the Women in ISP: A Career Exploration,” on Tuesday, March 18. The Champaign Police Department has released new details about a shooting incident on Sunday that left one person hospitalized with gunshot wounds. Officers responded to the scene near the intersection of Third Street and Burr Oak Court just after 3 p.m. for a report of a “shooting with injuries.” Upon arrival, they found a vehicle with damage from gunfire and discovered a 31-year-old Champaign man with potentially life-threatening gunshot wounds.
