Champaign County Coroner Laurie Brauer identified the victims of Wednesday night’s shooting as Janis Mason, 61, Sara Mason, 26, and Caleb Mason, 23.
A shooting in Mahomet on Wednesday night left three people dead. Police were called to the scene on S. Riverside Ct. around 9:40 p.m. after reports of multiple gunshot victims. Upon arrival, officers found three individuals with life-threatening injuries.
The cause was determined to be attributed to cooking and accidental. One occupants was treated on the scene and transported to a local hospital.
