Illinois pitching coach Mark Allen passes away

He is survived by his wife, Angela, and daughters, Skylar and Avery. Allen totaled over 25 seasons coaching and scouting in professional baseball. He spent five seasons serving as Illinois’ pitching coach from 2020 to 2024.

Illinois falls short to Rutgers with a 82-73 loss on the road

The No. 23 Illinois Fighting Illini were unable to hold off a surging Rutgers team, falling 82-73 on the road Tuesday night.
