Professor Sara Pedron Haba presents biotechnology presentation at Staerkel Planetarium

The presentation, “Bioengineered Human Disease Models,” will be presented at the William M. Staerkel Planetarium on Friday, February 7 at 7:00 p.m. This presentation is a part of Parkland College’s James B. Kaler Science Lecture Series, which is named after UIUC astronomer Jim Kaler who spoke at the series each year for over 20 years.

Danville Police arrest man with illegal firearm in residence

Officers responded on Friday, January 24 at around 3:00 p.m. The report was of an armed subject at the residence around the 1500 block of North Walnut Street. Upon investigation, witnesses reported a subject with a firearm and the Vermillion County State’s Attorney’s Office provided a search warrant.
